Over twenty people took part in a basket-weaving session at Paddock Social Club on February 19th. The event was organised by Paddock Community Trust, Community Learning Works, Kirklees Council and Growing Works who led the activity.
The Wednesday afternoon ESOL session at Huddersfield Library has been temporarily moved to 9.30 – 12.30 until March 27th.
#kirkleeswelcomes are launching a Friday Dominoes Social Club at Huddersfield Library from 11 – 3pm. All welcome!

Paddock Community Trust will be holding a Table Top Sale at Paddock Village Hall on December 14th to raise money for DASH, Volunteers Together and The WomenCentre.
A Save Food Save Money session was held at Paddock Village Hall on November 12th, giving attendees ideas on how to produce cheap, healthy family meals. The group also found out about basic food safety and went away with fridge thermometers to ensure their food was being stored correctly. The group made a 2-course meal, which fed the whole group, for less than £3! The workshop was a joint venture between Kirklees Council, Sainsburys supermarket, Community Learning Works and Paddock Community Trust.
Paddock Community Trust hosted a Syrian Celebration event on October 29th at Paddock Village Hall with activities for families and children along with a meal prepared by the group.

#kirkleeswelcomes is a new programme aimed at helping migrants settle in the local area. Paddock Trust is now recruiting volunteers to help new arrivals as Welcome Mentors.
