  1. Translated: Immunisation information for migrants

The UK Health Security Agency have updated their immunisation guidance for migrants ensuring that people entering the UK can access routine vaccinations.

This information is also available in: Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional) Farsi, Kurdish Sorani, Panjabi, Pashto, Portuguese, Romanian, Romany, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tigrinya, Turkish, Ukrainian and Urdu.

  1. Translated: Every Vaccination Matters leaflet

Kirklees Council have shared translated versions of a leaflet encouraging the uptake of Covid-19 vaccinations on their Kirklees Welcomes blog.

This guidance is also available in Arabic, Farsi, Kurdish Sorani and Tigrinya.

  1. Social isolation and social connection across Yorkshire and Humber: the experiences of migrant communities

Migration Yorkshire is working in partnership with the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) on a joint research project that aims to understand how migrants and longstanding communities experience social connections and/or social isolation in their communities.

We are seeking participation from people working with communities in Scarborough, Kirklees, York and Barnsley but encourage involvement from stakeholders across Yorkshire and Humber.

The organisation Free Movement have published an article detailing how the addition of social care workers to the Health and Care visa and Shortage Occupation List will mean that people who have been waiting over a year for a decision on an asylum claim can apply for permission to work in these roles.

Friends, Families and Travellers (FFT) have published a report on the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller civil society micro-sector of the voluntary sector.

  1. Official survey: Revoking vaccination as a condition of deployment across health and social care

The Department of Health and Social Care are seeking views on their intention to revoke provisions which require COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of deployment in health and social care settings.

This consultation is open to the public and closes at: 11:45pm on 16 February 2022.

  1. Improving GP registration and access for migrant health

The British Journal of General Practice has published an editorial calling for more inclusive migrant health care and considering the impacts of COVID-19 on access to primary care for undocumented migrants in particular.
